7 Signs During Your Pregnancy You Should Never Ignore

The little baby growing inside you doesn’t have the power to ward off diseases by himself yet. He depends on your immune system. It is you who give him all the protection it needs for the whole nine months. It is not easy to know if there is something wrong with your baby but there are some signs you can keep a lookout on:

1. Bleeding

No matter what time it is in your pregnancy, blood is never a good sign. It can be due to hormonal imbalance. At times, it shows up as a sign of miscarriage which is actually the worst one. It may also be because of placenta related issues. This usually means that  your baby needs to delivered before your due date. Premature babies need extra care particularly during the first few months.

2. Severe Back Pain

Now we need to get a little bit into physics. As your baby starts growing, your center of gravity tends to shifts in the front because of so much weight. As a result, every pregnant lady will experience back pain some time or the other. In case the pain becomes unbearable or lasts for a longer time, you should take the hint. There is something wrong with your bladder or kidneys. Pregnancy is certainly not a good time for infections.

3. Intrauterine Growth Resistance (IUGR)

Intrauterine Growth resistance like the name suggests is a problem in which the baby is resistant to grow in the uterus. This can be checked with a test that tells you whether the baby has grown into the size it should be at that point of time. If it is smaller than it should be, the baby may have issues with blood pressure, body temperature or breathing. You should get this test done at regular intervals.

4. Severe Cramps

It is very normal to experience cramps during pregnancy. they are very similar to the ones you feel in your periods. In case it is for longer periods of time or becomes unbearable, then you should take the hint. There is something wrong. Cramps usually occur because your body undergoes rapid changes and is nothing to worry about. If you notice cramps during second or third trimester, it can be a sign of illness, miscarriage or early labor. Tell your doctor immediately about it without any second thoughts.

5. Unusual Discharge

Usually the discharge you get has no color and odor. At most, it will be just a little white. If you notice something out of the usual particularly blood, it means your baby may have some problem. In case you feel a lot of pain, it could mean that your cervix has opened before its due time. It may also mean other things. Go see your doctor without any kind of delay. It is a matter of your dear baby after all.

6. No Heartbeat

It is after the tenth week of pregnancy that you will actually start hearing the baby’s heartbeat. The heart of the baby begins  to beat from the fifth week but you are only going to hear it after the tenth week. If you are unable to hear the heartbeat, it could be because of an inhospitable environment or stress. Go to your doctor immediately.

7. Lack of Movement

Your baby will start kicking around twenty weeks of your pregnancy. You are going to experience ten kicks every two hours. If your baby is not kicking much, then there definitely is something fishy. You should not ignore it and check with your doctor. Regular checkups are a way to go during pregnancy to prevent anything from going bad.
