The 24-hour routine and What to Incorporate into Your Daily Routine

With 24 hours in the day, it’s important to make time for good health habits. Manifesting a healthy lifestyle is an important element in maintaining physical and mental health.

So here are some tips you might find useful…
Start the day with an early wake and breakfast. Never skip breakfast as it’s a key meal! This is because, cortisol levels are highest in the morning – cortisol being the hormone which signals the body to begin burning calories, acting almost as a wake-up call.

Throughout the day, it’s better to have 3-5 smaller portioned meals, to even out calorie intake and enable the body to function at a regular pace, steadily burning the calories consumed. Try to eat the final meal of the day at least 4 hours prior to sleeping – for example, around 7:30 if you’d usually sleep at 11pm.

Overall, retaining a consistent daily pattern helps the body regulate calorie uptake better and helps you function to the best of your ability.

Other habits to incorporate into a daily regime include exercise and practices such as deep breathing and meditation. Both have many benefits, as they engage mind, body, and soul.Benefits include increased blood flow and oxygen supply throughout the body – particularly to the brain and lungs andimproved mental wellbeing. It’s also a chance to detach from life’s busyness, to relax and destress for a short while each day. A quick and easy way to practice deep breathing is by simply concentrating on deep inhalation and exhalation for 1-2 minutes.

Every day is a chance to do better. Not just at work, at home or in education, but also for our individual selves. Maintaining good health helps us excel in every aspect of life, but more importantly, helps us live well.

Make sure you’re taking some time each day to nurture your health too.
