5 Natural Remedies to Remove Stretch Marks after Pregnancy

Stretch marks are not an uncommon problem among women who have delivered their babies. They usually tend to have fine lines in places that are more prone to fat accumulation like arms, tummy, thighs, hips, abdomen and breast. It can occur because of sudden fat loss in those regions and hormonal changes. We have gathered some natural remedies to help you get rid of stretch marks. One thing to note is that you cannot completely get rid of stretch marks but you can make them lighter using different remedies.

Here is a list of some effective natural remedies you can try:

  1. Egg White

It is no secret that egg white is packed with protein. It helps to renew the skin and make it look supple and soft. Simply beat two egg whites with the help of a fork. Clean the area where you need to apply the egg white. Using a brush, apply thick layer of egg white. Allow it to dry and wash it off using cold water. Later apply olive oil to keep your skin moisturized and supple. Repeat it daily for a minimum of two weeks. It will slowly fade away the marks and improve your skin tone.

  1. Oil Treatment

Olive oil helps to exfoliate and moisturize your skin. It facilitates the circulation of blood and minimizes the appearance of stretch marks to a great extent. Simply take a little oil in your hand the massage the affected area. Let it stay for half an hour so that all the vitamins present in the oil get absorbed into the skin. Take a shower after the massage. Do this regularly to get positive results.

There are different oils that you can use to minimize the appearance of stretch marks. Like vitamin E oil, avocado oil, almond oil, coconut oil and castor oil.

  1. Turmeric And Sandalwood

Sandalwood and turmeric are known for their qualities of promoting even skin texture and brighter skin tone. Leave some sandalwood in water to make a paste. Then mix equal quantities of sandalwood and turmeric and apply it on the affected region. Allow it to dry and then scrub your skin with it while washing it off. Do it daily for a minimum of six weeks to see great results.

  1. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice contains acidic quality that helps to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. All you have to do is rub fresh lemon juice on the stretch marks and let it be for up to ten minutes. Allow the skin to absorb that lemon juice and wash it off using warm water. Repeat daily to notice results faster.

As an alternative, you can combine cucumber and lemon juice in equal quantities and rub it on the stretch marks. Allow it to dry and wash it off.

  1. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is soothing for your skin and promotes healing. It is better to use fresh gel right out of Aloe Vera leaf than the ones available in market. Simply rub Aloe Vera gel on your skin and let it stay for 15 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water.

As an alternative, you can even combine oil from five vitamin A capsules, ten vitamin E capsules and a quarter cup of Aloe Vera gel. Gently rub it on the affected region till it absorbs completely. Repeat two times a day.
